Aww...Don't Be Sad... We Will Be Back - Silver-Eye - NZ by

Please view large…A few Silver-Eyes have stayed with us to welcome the spring and enjoy the nectar from the blossoms and new blooms… The numbers are dwindling by the day. It is time to say farewell to them for the season, but we know they will be back again in winter… I will miss their constant chatter, character and antics… This is the farewell look… I am sure they are sad to leave, but they know there will be plenty to eat when finding food is difficult in the cold winter months…The little Silver-Eyes head deep into the New Zealand bush to raise their new families and food is plentiful…Panasonic Lumix FZ-35 Southland New Zealand

My fascination with birds began as a child and almost 50 years down the track my love for our feathered friends has not diminished. Once we moved to Tranquillity (our little country retreat) my passion for birds, all nature and wildlife became a digital reality through the lens of my camera.
