I Can Talk With Food In My Mouth - Mallard Duckling - NZ by

For those of you who remember Dinky Duck… the little mallard duckling rescued on the side of the road, she was brought home to “Tranquillity”. She was cared for, very much loved and brought us and those who met her so much joy. She changed an 86 year old man’s life…. and warmed his heart. He has a photo of Dinky on the coffee table where he spends most of his days in his comfy chair… He always talks about Dinky to anyone who will listen… Dinky went back to the wild when she grew up and I still miss her cheerful little quack. I hope someday she will return to “Tranquillity” just to say Hi!!!! Dinky loved her little pond, this image was taken as the sun was setting, she always made the most of each day…Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 Southland New Zealand 2011

My fascination with birds began as a child and almost 50 years down the track my love for our feathered friends has not diminished. Once we moved to Tranquillity (our little country retreat) my passion for birds, all nature and wildlife became a digital reality through the lens of my camera.
