Maple Glen Gardens Southland New Zealand, a hidden paradise that has to be seen to be believed. We are always overwhelmed by the beauty of Maple Glen gardens and perhaps that is a complete understatement. A more accurate description would be “we always feel joyously tearful” as we step from our vehicle and try to maintain that beautiful emotion for our entire visit. Anyone watching our finger pointing, our smiles, our head shaking and our expressions as we stumble along the manicured pathways would assume we are drunk; yet in fact we are always intoxicated with life, injected with nature’s serum and comforted in the colours of life.
Reawaken Nature’s Serum
Thoreau provided the perfect paragraph for this scene.
“We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aids, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn, which does not forsake us in our soundest sleep.” Henry David Thoreau
