Do You Need A Hug Huh!! - Croy Cat Fish - Invercargill NZ by

Please view Large, thank you.
I thought I would try my hand at capturing fish in a fish tank at the Invercargill Pet Shop. Most of the shots were just blurred, they move so fast through the water and never stay still long enough. This little fellow looked me in the eye and was motionless for a few seconds, I got a shot… I think this is the Agassizi Corydoras Cat fish comes from the river tributaries of the Peru area, and is a peaceful bottom dwelling scavenger. The Agassizi has many black spots covering the body and a black, mask-like stripe covering the eyes.
The Agassizi Cory Cat requires a well planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places that provide relief from the light. A smooth sand or gravel substrate is needed because of the easily damaged barbels. They enjoy being in numbers, so a small school of six or more is ideal for these cats.
Breeding the Agassizi Cory Cat has not yet been accomplished in an aquarium and little is known about its breeding requirements.

This Is The End My Friends! – Whitebait

My fascination with birds began as a child and almost 50 years down the track my love for our feathered friends has not diminished. Once we moved to Tranquillity (our little country retreat) my passion for birds, all nature and wildlife became a digital reality through the lens of my camera.

Fabulous shot and fabulous Corydoras! I love these little catfish, we’ve had aquariums for years and they are never complete without a bunch of little Cory’s, any sort, pushing along the bottom of the tank, lovely clear capture Andrea! :O)
