I went outside as the sun peeked through the clouds and saw beautiful drops sparkling and shining as they hung in mid air from the Webs in the garden. It is like being in a forgotten world, looking into these minute little drops that seem to be floating in mid air. The reflections are amazing, nature is so beautiful, I am at times in awe, it simply takes my breath away that something so tiny can be so beautiful. There are times when we can use the weather to our advantage to get great photos of raindrops or water patterns.
Water is an amazing substance. It has many properties that have an impact on our lives. One of these is the property of surface tension, which water shares with other less prevalent liquids.
Wikipedia describes it as being caused by “the attraction between the liquid’s molecules” which acts at the surface of the liquid to “diminish the surface area”. It is surface tension that shapes the water into rounded drops.

  • Drops are difficult Vicki, keep taking them and one day you get the shot, this took me ages. Thank you for your lovely comment, much appreciated.
