“Stop and smell the roses” a cliché that is widely used. Most of us will be familiar with its meaning, take time to appreciate a situation or slow down and pay attention to what is going on around you. The phrase is often used when referring to someone who seems far too busy to enjoy life.
We would use the phrase when we become concerned that a friend or loved one appears to be over-worked, or they are not taking time to enjoy the small pleasures of life. This is a gentle reminder to take a few minutes for yourself each day. “Stop and smell the Roses” and experience the beauty that surrounds you.
One of the little joys of living in a rural area. Baby chicks born in an incubator and given to our hen to raise.
