Common Name: Silky purple flag.
Not considered to be at risk in the wild.
After Colonel William Paterson, Lieut-Governor of New South Wales, 1800-1810.

Herb to 60 cm high. Perianth tube to 3 cm long; outer tepals to 30 mm long, and up to 25 mm wide, blue-violet; inner tepals 2 mm long. Patersonia sericea, showing fertile anthers ,stigma and style.
