This image is one of a stunning sequence of about 50 shots taken of downward and upward slanting rays as the sun set over the ranges near Murwillumbah.
It was a lucky set – I was driving home, in my usual auto mode thinking of 101 other things, from a volunteer position at Uki and I decided to go the scenic route via the Regional Art Gallery. As I went past the pull off area opposite the driveway I saw THIS out of the corner of my eye, necessitating a quick U turn and grab the camera!
Shot with my first DSLR, the Canon300D and the 28-90 f4 kit lens.
And I have been honoured to have this image FEATURED in Stunning Skyscapes – 29 March 2011
and a Top Ten winner in the April-May Avatar 2 day challenge in that group, 3 April 2011
