Kinloch is a beautiful location at the head of Lake wakatipu in the south island of New Zealand.
Kinloch Lodge is set in a spectacular setting (on the lakefront across the lake from Glenorchy township) between the Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. The secluded and scenic lakefront wilderness lodge dates back to 1868. It may be the oldest operating guesthouse in New Zealand
Kinloch Lodge offers accommodation ranging from YHA rates (bunkrooms) to luxurious double bedded heritage rooms. And the restaurant fare isn’t half bad either!
Lodge facilities include a boot drier and drying area as fishing and walking are key activities. Fishing rods and mountain bikes are available for hire and kayak trips are run daily subject to weather. The hottub overlooking the lake and mountains and is the perfect place to relax after a days hiking. Horse trekking is available close by and Jetboat trips leave from the beach in front of the lodge.
And on the way to Kinloch you can cross the River Jordan for a quick look at Paradise! What more could you wish for.
