The introduction of the iPHone skins option is all very well but where has the ‘Replace Image’ option gone in the image editing area? RB appears to have just removed it without so much as a by your leave.
I for one want it back! Often I will do a subtle re-edit to correct a flaw that shows once an image is uploaded, but if anyone has comments in that time I do not want to delete the image and the attached comments.
Send RB a message and tell them we want it back!

Hi Odille, if you hover over the little thumbnail of your image, it should give you the option to replace it. I think the site designers are getting a little too cutesy with things and not adequately explaining the changes to us before rolling them out.

Thanks for that – it was so big and apparent before and I could not find it at all. I think they do get a bit carried away with their own cleverness sometimes!

Hmphf! Perhaps (just a thought) they are getting ready to offer “pro” account at a charge – a bit like flickr where you cannot replace images unless your pay the annual fee? Perhaps, it’s just not integrated yet? I’m no programmer – so have no idea of the difficulties! But, a shame if it is indeed gone for good. :o(

Ah – just seen the comment from Tula Top. :o)

Another feature that moved is the option to recover your image from their servers. It’s tiny, way off to the left of I think the replace image button. Someone on a forum explained where it was and I was able to find it by moving my cursor around the area til it turned into a hand, but otherwise I would have been unlikely to see where it went. Overall I think the changes and the ability to make iphone cases are good ones, but there’s always a moment of panic when you/I can’t find something.

i don’t mind the new changes bar for the fact that you seem to have to untick the options to buy again..i liked the previous version where you chose which images you want to put up for sale..most of mine are just for lookings so its tedious having to remove the prices. Or am i missing something?

the recover image option is indeed to the left of the little replace icon..i actually like it there, i didn’t know where it lived before.

i love the t-shirt and i phone case option but i have no idea how to create them..their explanation of it is as clear as mud to me..am technically challenged when it comes to editing.the whole layer thing is just over my head.I wish it was just a drag and drop of the image involved.
Odille Esmonde...
Thanks everyone for the comments. If you use Photoshop or Elements it is pretty easy but I am not up to speed in other programs now. Layers is very handy as it means you can resize exactly.
We seem to have lost the date the image was uploaded data too, that was handy for me in going back and finding images on my ‘puter. I’ll have to remember now to put the mont/year in all my tags.
