A Few Words to Hold in Your Heart

For all of the noise you can make together,
Will you remain silent when alone?
Confusion is a pathway,
that suddenly splits into many
Possible directions and you must
learn to embrace chaos, never panic.
When it creeps up on your heels,
throw up your hands and
Say the words,
I know there is a divine order
And I know my path is safe.

A united front can overpower truth sometimes,
it becomes easy to get lost in wanting to be accepted
Do not miss a single chance
to know what the truth is, and how to tell it.
Give your parents and family and friends the truth
For if they do not know it,
you will deny them the chance to help you.
Truth and forgiveness are your wings and
they will carry you as far as you want to go.

Friendship rolls and tumbles through your life,
Never forget the love of a true friend.
It is unconditional, simple.
Laughter that made you melt, that cleared away
Fears and changed the meaning of your tears.
You will know it is true years from now,
That no matter how far away you are,
Or how many years fall between,
You will hear that voice or read those words
And you will know that time is illusion,
only a measurement between the events in life.

A class that holds each other,
Allowing no one to hold all of you.
Great talent, and style,
It is your generation that will affect
great change that we have only dreamed of.
You have a fire lit by an energy source
that has not yet been discovered.
It is the glow in your eyes, and
The blazing roar of your speech.
The depth of your silence we have witnessed
Every gift of greatness is within your reach.

About amy leader

I live in Sonoma, CA The Valley of the Moon aka Wine Country. I have work in many mediums including etched glass objects. My first love is painting. I use very little line and opt to have color tone and overlapping forms to create an image. I have a great love of the 20th Cent. artists like Picasso Chagall
and O’Keffe. It is all a work in process, and progress.
