Profile

I am a self employed Massage Therapist working from home in the Melbourne suburb of Thornbury. Photography has been a long time passion of mine. I completed a Diploma in Illustrative Photography – Fine Art/Photojournalism at Photography Studies College back in 1998 and worked part time doing photojournalistic style weddings, children and family portraits for about 5 years. I am now experiencing a period of “rebirth” giving photography more of a priority in my life. Being on Red Bubble has inspired me to “put my work back out there” and start new projects/develop/upgrade my skills. I have only recently made the transition to digital and have a lot to learn about the modern day darkroom. I was a real darkroom junkie, the excitement of watching a print develop was all consuming as was the smell of darkroom chemicals, which I loved! I still have my enlarger in storage even though I know I will probably never use it again! Nevertheless I am feeling that same excitement all over again, being part of this amazing Red Bubble community. What a wonderful opportunity to grow, learn and thrive.

Since May 2009 I use a canon 450D. Lenses 18-55mm, 28-105mm, 75-300mm. I also have a canon eos 50E analogue camera and my dad’s old minolta. Post processing is done in Gimp.
