2011 in Montana has had a cool and wet spring. The wildflowers are blooming a little later than usual, but when they come on, there are more blooms than the last few years. Lupine (Family: Fabaceae, Pea and Genus: Lupinus) has been very prolific this year.
This field of Lupine is under an Pine tree overstory in the Bitterroot Mountains near Sweathouse Creek west of Victor, Montana, USA.
