This sweet boy was quite surprised to see me, but finished his job anyway. I don’t know where mom was. Cannon 40D, 1/400s, f/7.1, ISO 200. Taken at the base of the Bitterroot Mountains near Sweathouse Creek west of Victor, Montana, USA.

wonderful capture Merle, great color, clarity and light !!!
Awesome capture .
Thank you so much. I really enjoyed this little guy. It was a tough shot to get – not much time and a far distance, but worth having my camera ready.
Fantastic capture Merle, congratulations on your Montana Group feature ! June 2011
Thanks Gisela, I loved this one. He was so surprised to see me!
What a handsome fellow, well caught, Merle. All spots and eyes. A big congrats. Cat:)
Thank you! I love this little guy!
Oh my Beeper. I had a male deer once that I raised from days old. He got run over by a hay bailer…2 broken legs, slept with him for six weeks. taught him how to nurse from a bottle (goat’s milk of course) and carried outside for a really long time while his legs healed…Okay this image is bringing memories and tears. Awesome!
Karen, I am glad it brings you memories, sad for the tears. What a sweet story. Thank you for sharing that with me (and others). Animals bring out the best in most of us.
