“Using the light to create emotions”. By those words, Pierre soulage defines any aquarellist"s quest, a quest that I have made mine too.
To try and reach a composition that organizes forms, colours and the plainess of the white paper.A composition that would take the spectator away and transport him to
another dimension throught the the gate of the magical window which is the painting. Finally, whatever the model; figuration is note an end in itself.
It is a pretext that I use to reach and reveal the poetical dimension of reality.
It is in the way water and pigments play together that I am trying to suggest the light and transparency of watercolor, for me a form of poetry that talk to our hearts and reveal our emotions.
Autodidact, I have been painting aquarelle since 1989 as leisure as unfortunately my professional career is consumming most of my time.
My multiple sources of inspiration are: Delacroix’s aquarelles, the English masters
(Turner, R.P.Bonington, E. Wesson, J.Yardley…) the American masters (F.Webb,F.Francese…) and the Spanish masters (M.Plana,Cruanas,Centellas…).
