"Tomorrow"

...what happens on a Sunday afternoon

Tomorrow will be quiet.
The children will be gone,
And the dog will doze
In the afternoon sun,
Awaiting their return.

I will lie with you then,
And let the wind sing on our bodies,
Let the trees shed one more leaf till fall,

Let the lawnmower stand idle
And the neighbors wonder.
Let them wonder,
But they know—
They know of our Sundays together.

    ...marvelous…!!!
it seems that you achieve simplicity with enormous effort..!!!

Thank you, “Imagineering.” Yes, the poem is simple, but it didn’t take enormous effort, just the truth.
