Mark has been photographing and developing his unique style and view of the world for over 30 years. With a background in portrait and commercial photography, he has always enjoyed traveling and photographing the world.
Having shot with film for so many years and spending way too many hours in a darkroom, Mark has now embraced the technology of the twenty-first century: digital imaging. He has mastered the technology to the point of an art form. His passion is now digital manipulation of his images to evoke many moods and feelings. He can take the ordinary and distill the inexplicably extraordinary that lies within. Dreams become graphical visions in his images.
Mark believes that the true artist brings part of himself to the photograph and that the photograph should say something more than a pretty postcard.
His work is represented in photo stock agencies around the world, he has exhibited internationally, and is currently represented by agent6 photo agency in Nice, France for all commercial assignments.
Mark lives with his 7 year-old son Jackson on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. He has worked as a door to door salesman, assembly line worker, cleaner, manager, tradesman, wedding photographer, and barman, he has written poetry, and gone to the footy. He has studied psychology, philosophy, education, social work, and youth work. He has spent time in San Fransisco, Paris and London.
These days he tries to spend as many days as possible being a good dad, creating photographs, and aligning his chakras.
