Today I received an email from Redbubble advising of a complaint they received in relation to one of my photographic works – R2-D2.
I have no idea why the complaint was made, I do not know what the complaint was, and I am not allowed to know.
All I know is that I PERSONALLY TOOK THE PHOTO, JAZZED IT UP USING THE IPHONE APPLICATIONS HIPSTAMATIC/PICTURESHOW, THEN UPLOADED THE IMAGE MYSELF on Redbubble for sale. I OWN THE PHOTO. I don’t own R2-D2, but come on, this was bought and taken by ME. If it’s the name, I’d change it.
To the person who made the complaint, why? I purchased a tiny little lights and sounds toy for my son’s birthday a few years back on eBay and uploaded it so other little boys and girls may like a picture of R2-D2. I mean it gives my intellectually disabled son joy, so I’m sure it would give others joy.
There is another R2-D2 lego image on Redbubble, so why pick on me? This one hasn’t been taken down.
I have no intention to fill out a DMCA form as I do not want my personal details plastered on the internet for everyone to see, nor do I want the matter to appear through court.
All this Aussie girl asks is why? Here’s the image… decide for yourself what is “wrong” about it:
Next time someone wants to report an image of mine, contact me first with the reasons behind it. This is MY image MY Copyright and again, if it was the name, then I’d change it to suit.
I took this image just now.. 31/10/2012.
