Citrine Dreams...

I emerged from
A tumbled world
Of lapis lazuli
With sapphire tears
And ruby whispers.
I ran to a crystal river
And sat down beside it
I heard its emerald lullaby sighs
And as the autumn wind
Blew topaz through the trees,
I could hear your
Smoky quartz voice singing

You sang of
Red jasper dreams
And restless nights
I was captivated
By the amethyst music
Hypnotized by the
Turquoise soliloquy.
My cornucopia heart
Overflowed with the
Diamonds it held for you.
I thought about
A Sunday morning
Cup of tourmaline tea,
Carnelian kisses,
Amid breathless hair pulls,
And shameless confessions
Of white pearl omissions
On crimson velvet sheets

You opened my
Garnet-heart and entered;
It was you,
Who animated the
Crazy horse stone,
You brought back
The jaded color
To a black
And white world.
You were a fire opal
In a cold dark cave.
I wandered out into
The bloodstone forest
But my Moonstone
Went out and
I got lost

The green aventurine
That you used
To bring
Left me wondering,
Will I ever
Feel you again?

I was under a cloud
Of black onyx,
Dreaming of you
Wading in a pond
Of rose quartz
And Spinels,
While you
Were holding
A jade bowl
Of Peruvian
blue opals

But these are
Nothing more than
Citrine dreams,
And my blue calcite
Visions are but a
Vanishing coral garden,
Beneath a turbulent
Aquamarine sea
of opaque
obsidian
gems
