Artist's Description

Lambert Castle in Paterson NJ has this lovely stained glass window in the first landing of the stairs. It was popular in the Victorian era to place a stained glass window at the landing of the stairs – Edison’s mansion also had one and also of Rebecca, although a different design.

This Rebecca at Lambert Castle resembled Mr. Lambert’s daughter who died young in childbirth. Also he included the lookout tower that he had built on the mountain above the castle in the stained glass window to also personalize it. It is a beautiful piece of art – can you imagine having this in your home? awesome!
