Pretending To Be Revolutionary Soldiers – 4th of July 2011, Ringwood Manor NJ
Every year we go to the Ringwood Manor State Park where they have re-enactors, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, musket salute to the colonial flag, displays and music – a lovely and historic way to remember the birthday of our country.
Every year the colonial soldiers gather the children together for a fun play time where they carry small wooden muskets and pretend to march and be revolutionary war soldiers. great fun. I love this photo because of the pure joy and fun on the one soldier’s face who is closest to the camera looking at the children.
