Antique Diner table top Jukebox by

Top Ten in Memories of Yesteryear Challenge, Just for You Dedications, 4th place, 13-Apr-2013

photo from a woman I know who collects Jukeboxes. she has two large ones and a diner tabletop one (this one) in her home.

I used to love these as a child – I would go to the diner in the center of Caldwell NJ with my parents and my grandmother and always hope they would let me play some songs. Very happy and vivid memories of those days, and I had to have been 5 years and younger at the time. This then is my dedication to YesterYear photo.

My name is Jane. I am an artist, writer, photographer, and an admirer of the arts. Here on RB I share my photography, writing, collages and art, and host many groups. I hope you enjoy my work.

    This is really cool Jane!!

My grandmother used to take me to a burger joint that opened in the 50’s. She was on a first name basis with almost all the staff. She used to take me at least twice a week. My fondest memories of this time with her were, she always gave me a quarter for 3 songs on the jukebox. Getting to have my own hamburger & fries even if it was too much for me to finish, sometimes anyway. And lastly getting to have a 5¢ peppermint patty when we left the restuarant.

This image really does bring back fond memories. Thanks for sharing!!

  • I can’t believe you wrote all this a year ago and I never saw it! thanks so much for all the thoughts and memories. hope you are well….

I love this and the memories it brings back for me too!!!

  • thanks Viv – happy memories indeed. that was more fun than the food – running in and sitting at the tabl and seeing what songs were on the jukebox.
