Coming out of this specialty store at the Willowbrook Mall, you can see the store was in the décor of Victorian. It looks like I am walking out of someone’s house. The beautiful wallpaper, the lamp sconces on the wall, the table and the lamp on it and the lovely ornate mirror. As I moved to the door I saw the door reflected in the mirror.
If you are like me, as a child you imagined that the world in the mirror was not a reflection of this world but rather another world through the glass. I guess much like Alice in Wonderland. It is intriguing to think what would happen if you really walked through the door in the mirror – where would you end up?
“The mirror never sees itself. The reflection never is itself.”
by J. Gregory Keyes
“You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.”
by George Bernard Shaw
“Let us be grateful to the mirror for revealing to us our appearance only.”
by Samuel Butler
“The ravaged face in the mirror hides the enchanting youth that is the real me.”
by Mason Cooley
“There is no mystery in a looking glass until someone looks into it. Then, though it remains the same glass, it presents a different view of the world.”
by Harold C. Goddard
Dedicated to all those who see an open door in the mirror and want to go through it to adventure.
