A large and heavy, but delicate sculpture at the Montclair Art Museum. It is so simple yet very expressive. It hangs in the stairwell from the main exhibits floor that leads down to the art studios and the gift shop. It is inspired by the Inupiat peoples art, and you can see a beautiful Inupiat tapestry on the wall on the right.
This is right out of the camera, the natural lighting and colors are all browns, making it look very sepia naturally. I believe the sculpture is supposed to represent a whale.
