Pity the Poor Collaboration with Cate Townsend
Pity The Poor
Author: Amber Elizabeth Fromm
Artist: Cate Townsend:
This Piece is Dedicated to those
Of us who sometimes forget
What is truly valuable
And important
Many Blessings…. to you
Why , Oh Why
Do we… pity the poor.
For they are rich in heart and spirit…
For they are humble and so
Close to God and
Closer to his door…
They walk in humility…
and value what is real..
I have walked many a path
in my life’s journey…
In wealth…I found
Vanity and Weakness..
My spirit was lost…
Turned away
My best memories…
Are when I had nothing
Nothing
On the Outside
For I had everything
Within and I leaned…
I prayed…
For I had God….
I had real love… I
I had family…. connection
Valued what was real.
Felt blessed for every smile,
that was given me
Why pity the poor,
They are so blessed
They have Appreciation… and
Gratitude..
For all that is given
For All that is received.
Wealth .. true wealth.
Is in the heart and in the spirit …
The kindness and compassion
We give..
And a pure and
Simple thought…
The Spirit that we share.
So… Tell me
Why My friend
Do you ?
Pity the Poor.

Yes … I feel we all sometimes get lost in our materialism and forget what is truly important God, Love and Resect for our fellows …. Tis is to do I feel but also easier to look inward recognise and disgard the falseness of it all and see the real beauty in the world=) like friends family and the smiles of children hugz … sorry bout that amber been so busy signed off wrong makes me lol=)

Yes Cate’s great great grandmother and she was a very faithful hardworking woman who so loved God:) hugz and blessings
CateTownsend, about 1 month ago
Yes she did, Margaret was her name and she raised her own children and grandchildren, my beautiful grandfather being one. He was the kindest most gentle man, beautiful looking and enourmously tall. They had hard lives but such beautiful spirits, which is what I believe Amber is saying in her poem. Money and riches cannot buy you happiness in your spirit, that comes from something beyond our earthly values.
