Valley Boy: Desperation

Valley Boy: Desperation

Note: requested to have protagonist resemble Miranda Otto.

A commission for one of my college tutors. This was for the purpose of showing a scene from a script she has written for a film. It’s a very dark and tragic love story set in the late 1800s that’s beautifully written and very compelling. I certainly hope to see this in production soon!

This piece was very interesting and enjoyable to draw as it really has a story to it and it’s one of my first for experimenting with blur and focus to create depth—a technique I will most definitely be using in the future!

Enjoy! =)

ive been thinking a lot about trying out the “focus” and depth perception. i think you did a really good job with it in this piece. :P
