I’ve always loved drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Back then it was all traditional work, but in 2006 when I discovered digital artwork and I couldn’t resist giving it a go. I recieved my first Wacom tablet for my 16th birthday and I haven’t left it since, though I frequently switch between traditional and digital mediums. I grew up in Chester, UK, where I still live and I was homeschooled until I was about sixteen.
After that I studied a two year National Diploma in Interactive Media at Yale in Wrexham (2007-2009) which I enrolled in to build up a further foundation in art and learn and improve in a variety of subjects including photography, animation, computer aided design, graphics design, life drawing, film and TV, and games design.
I have now moved on to a BA Hons in Animation at Newport University which is highly enjoyable while also developing my artistic skills.
I have loads of hobbies/interests, including Japanese anime/manga and culture, web design, reading fiction, listening to music, watching films, tennis, video games and of course various forms of art from digital to traditional.
In between work, I work creating my own designs and concepts through pencil sketches or digital painting. I love creating new characters and personalities and hope one day after University, to draw as a concept artist or character designer for video games/movies.
