I love the old woody tendrils left each vintage, it reminds me of the pruning, picking and planting that went only months before…this is quickly forgotten when the new fruit appears carrying the promise of a new adventure to discover what this years fruit shall become.

Taken in the private vineyard of our next door neighbours. This is their 4th vintage on 40 year old vine stock. This particular vine is Pinot….mmmm Tassie Pinot…dare I say it?…the best Pinot in the world!

another great shot Sarah, love the entangled tendrils.
really like the depth of field too.

  • Ah, you’re too kind! It’s easy to make something this intricate look good, ain’t mother nature a gem! But I’ll take the praise and drink to it!

very interesting shot. I like it a lot

  • Hi Tallow, so sorry for taking this long to get back to you. I have just taken up study at uni and my brain has been on overload. I am so glad you like this, it is great to be able to find such beauty in the seemingly boring….especially something vineyard fans see so often, Thanks for the support.

I have vineyards all around me. I have tried for this effect many time but it never seems to turn out. I guess I will try again

  • Cool, I have to admit, it took me a couple of goes to get it, unfortunately I didn’t record my settings….if I get it again this weekend, I’ll let you know my ‘twisted’ logic. Good luck and have fun x
