Bungle Bungles - 1 (Aerial View) by

The Bungle Bungles, in Western Australias north east are located in the Purnululu National Park in the Kimberley region.

There is so much information on them here and as much as I tried to shorten the information I thought it better to add a link so you can read about them in full.

The flight left from Turkey Creek and as I was parked up there for the day thought it was a great opportunity to go and have a look.

    And from the ground :

☼ Your Perspective from above is SO VERY VERY STUNNING!!!! ☼
    Chookas! ♥

  • Thankyou for your kind comment and for the favorite, I am looking forward to going in there on foot one day. It is amazing to see from the sky but I don’t think you could get a grasp for the enormity of the place without standing at its feet.

What an amazing perspective! You’re right, it’s hard to gauge the size of the place from above but the textures, colours and patterns are fantastic. Well done :-)

  • Thanks Leanne, it was a last minute decision to go up for a flight – I am really glad I did.

What an amazing place!!! Would love to see this myself!

  • Thanks Mel, the advantages of being a truck driver are that you turn up to these places – and get paid for it. I was worried I lost these shots as they were in the camera when it went missing.
