It was just a glimpse I caught in the crowd
Not quite enough to fill the gap
Between recognition & deja vu
A momentary flicker of familiarity
A floating reminder . . .
Of someone I once knew . . .
A faded memory struggling for the light
There it is again . . .
No . . .
No, that can’t be right
How could that reflection
Give me such a fright . . .

intriguing…a few times i have caught sight of myself in a mirror at the shops in my peripheral vision without realising it was me and thought things like “surly cow,” “bloody hippy.”….excellent writing AM : )
Thanks Tania

added to which Miss A can catch me by surprise from time to time

Love it!… I have had this happen, best I could describe it was a “chilly exhilaration”.
probably de ja vu,or some kind of strange kind of synchronicity
but most definately a splendid vision tho! amanda
And suddenly, there we are…realizing that the others may have a different image of ourselves……or is it the real one?
