Cat Stevens – Morning Has Broken – Live 1973
The last year or so has been the most magnificent spiritual journey for me, and I didn’t even have to leave my house…filled with learning and re-learning, discovering some of the most beautiful truths about life and love and myself.
My closest friend died on the 23rd of December, a shock and loss that I am still reeling from. These last few months I have not been painting or creating much, it has been a time of reflection and self-inspection. For a long while now I have not been producing much art, it seemed that my creative inspiration was all dried up and so I took the time I needed to heal my emotional wounds and let myself just feel and BE.
This painting symbolizes the new place I find myself at, feeling fresh and new and alive and excited about life once again. Like the spring, I feel energized and ready for new growth and experiences. And I choose to fill myself up to overflowing with love and light and joy.
Morning Has Broken!
Watercolor, chalk and ink on 140lb watercolor paper. Also some collage work, all collaged elements are of my own creation.

Ah Amanda. I’m happy to see this from you. There are traces of “child’s play” here, but the green is fresh and new.
Thank you very much for your kind words Yuri.

We’re always creating because we’re all a work in progress. Art is just the portrayal of ourselves and our thoughts renewed.
Thank you so much for your great comment.
You are always so kind to me.
