This was taken on a Winter’s evening as the sun was setting for the day.
Approximately ½ mile west of St Monans which is a small village in the East Neuk of Fife, lay the remains of the once great Newark Castle. A 16th century manor that has since fallen to ruin through cliff erosion and disrepair. In 2002, with the permission of Historic Scotland, an unsuccessful attempt to restore the castle was made.
These silhouettes are a reminder of the great history that surrounds Scotland and its people.

Welcome to my beautiful world….
Scotland has such beautiful scenery and I try to capture those wonderful scenes along my travels. You will very often find me on the moors or soaking up the atmosphere of one of the many Lochs Scotland has to offer.
I also have a love of flowers and have a selection of fine art florals in my portfolio. Thank you for stopping by and welcome to my world….
