Artist's Description

St Mary’s Loch, the largest natural loch in the Borders Region was created during the last ice age by two glaciers, one flowing down the Yarrow and another down the Megget Valley. Where they joined they scoured out a deep hollow which when the ice melted flooded to form the loch. This was taken on a sunny spring day in 2010. For more Lochs and rivers please visit my port folio, thank you.
