Isn’t it interesting exploring the palette of colours Nature selects for her creations? I enjoy taking colour samplings (with Photoshop), placing them close together, and exploring the aesthetic effect. It can be quite variable, depending on the effect of a loss of shape and texture.
Your photo has included these three elements so well – even down to the spherical brown balls…

Many thanks Keith, yes it is amazing what colours and textures macro photography can bring and also what interpretations you can read into an image. This particular shot reminded me of dried up meandering river beds as seen from the air. Thanks for your comment
