This was taken at the Forbidden City in Beijing last year. The “bride” was part of a photo shoot, not sure where she was off to, but I found myself chasing her to get this shot! It seemed like she was making a getaway not to get married.

great shot. Don’t know if it was true this time or not, but engaged couples in China usually have a big photo shoot before their wedding. The photo shop has lots of outfits for them to wear- a mix of western and Chinese clothes, make up, hair done, etc. They then get very large portraits, books and CDs with the photos. Some will be displayed at the wedding itself.

wow…I think on this occasion, if I remember right, it may have been a photo shoot as there was only a “bride” and photographer.

Oh, and sometimes at a popular location and the right time of year you can see several couples lined up to take their turns.
