stunning!

many thanks again.

Very metaphorical, Anthony!
The work that Sea Shepherd does is literally like walking the tightrope, I’d say!
Or perhaps it refers the the strength of resolve and tight teamwork required to carry out their controversial work!
Either way, this is a simple, but well conceived idea Anthony!
Well done!
Anthony Mancuso replied
thanks elrobbo, I’d say yes to all the above on reflection but I just saw a nice tight rope! But absolutely agree the work they do is needed!
ElRobbo
I don’t necessarily condone how they carry out the work that they do, I just presumed that’s what you meant!!! If I’d known you were just taking a snapshot of a bloody knot I wouldn’t have said anything ;)
Good work Anthony
Anthony Mancuso replied
lol…....you crack me up!!! I could have gone on a deep and meaningful rant but I thought I’d come clean, although I might use your descriptions on some more sea shepherd snaps! :))
emmmee
I love this Anthony! The texture! The title is just perfect too. I’m afraid I just see ‘the knot’. They’ll do what they do regardless!
Anthony Mancuso replied

Anthony Mancuso replied
Thanks Robin, I like the way you answer your own joke instead of giving me the pleasure! Steve was definately one of a kind! Thanks mate :))

Lovely shot, well captured mate. Like the sharpness of the rope against the blurred sea.

Darlene Marrya...
It’s hard to believe something so small and insignificant could be so beautifully captured! You have done a fantastic job with this!
Anthony Mancuso replied

David Meacham
I did a study of rope down at a small harbour in Devon – people seemed to find it very amusing that I was taking pictures of knots and fishing net – not sure why,
This is a very clear and well focused shot of some real rope – the modern nylon stuff is not nearly so picturesque
Anthony Mancuso replied
thank you David, I love the texture and light and shadows that they create. I think they are wonderful things to photograph and I’m glad you think so too!
hardhhhat
Agree with David about the quality of nylon ropes vs real rope :) great shot looks like it has been repaired and fraying a little showing how much use it has probably had over the years – love the background that goes with this shot too.
nick board
