Thank you for taking the time to check out my work! My name is Alyssa. I’m 24 and lived in New Jersey my whole life up until recently when I relocated to New Mexico. Photographs last a life time and keep memories fresh and alive. I love photography for that reason alone. I love to show the beauty in all things, past and present and photography provides a wonderful creative outlet for me to do that and share this with others.
I’ve always had a fascination with decrepit things like abandoned buildings, houses and cars. The now abandoned houses were once homes filled with memories. The abandoned buildings perhaps were once active stores, offices or factories where real people came and went each day conducting business or earning a living.. The cars have been to countless places, driven on countless roads, carrying countless people to and from. There is a story to be told from everything you see, even things no longer thriving. Dreams were once alive in these places and I am fascinated by what might have been or what could have been. The potential of what once was and the change from then to now is illustrated in my work.
