Nords Wharf Sunset - Lake Macquarie by Alwyn Simple

Sunset Tuesday 10/1/2012 taken from the back landing of my house at Nords Wharf.
Nords Wharf is at the southern end of Lake Macquarie and south of Newcastle. It originated as a settlement for coal miners working in the mines in the area.
The chimneys of Vales Point Power Station can be seen on the horizon.

Hi Mate. Yes it is hard to put up with. I would like to live here all the time but my wife has her social life in Singleton and I do not think it right to take her away from that. I keep asking if she wants to move.

I was up that way last week wishing there would be a sunset like the other nights over the Lake (was at Summerland Point), but wasn’t too be… Got it down here though…
