A very beautiful capture of a good looking Crimson, Alwyn. We get a pair visiting us and I always make sure I photograph the female because the male is quite old and shows his age.

There you go again. You continue to amaze me with your understanding and use of the english language. Not many people unless they are english educated would use the word elegant. There is a story there somewhere and some day you must tell me your secret. I have a friend from Slovenia who has been in Australia for many years and she talks with an accent. Is english a well used language in Slovenia??

Beautiful capture Alwyn, great pose that has plenty of detail. This is one bird that I seem to struggle with, especially getting clarity. Any tips would be greatly appreciated :))
Hi Jordy, I know what you mean. It is the red which for some reason seems to run and it blotches out any detail that is there. I have had the same problem and have been disappointed with a full days shooting just because of the red. Sorry I do not have the answer. Sometimes I fluke it, sometimes I don’t.
