These small birds live in the desert areas of Australia and breed up after rain.
I specialise in Photographing birds in their natural environment. To date I have photographed over 450 Australian species. If you like to view great bird shots please visit my site. I also like to photograph Landscape scenes but this is my second choice. I love nature and love to see and capture it when it is living free.

WOW, stunning shot Alwyn, how big a zoom did this one need? 2000?! fantastically composed and highlighted anyway.
Hi Nick, I use a Nikon F4 500mm full size lens on a D-300 camera with a 24mm Sensor giving me the equivalent of a 750mm lens. I then use a 1.7 Teleconvertor to take it up to 1275mm equivalent.
I have just come back from the Simpson and the Chats are around Eyre Creek at the moment. The Crimson ones are plenitful but only got or seen the one Orange Chat.
