We were watching the movie called Star Trek Generations and I heard a quote that really stuck with me. Captain Jean-Luc Picard said, near the end of the movie, “What we leave behind is not as important as how we’ve lived.” I just couldn’t let go of that thought… it provided the inspiration to finish this small journal page.

This journal page art was done using Crayola paint sticks, acrylic, and ink on heavyweight watercolor paper.

I’m an abstract-expressionist painter… a mixed media, encaustic, collage artist who uses a non-objective, emotive style of creative expression and visual messaging. I create to survive, to LIVE with more JOY and less pain. ART (plus faith in God) is what sustains me.
