The Healing Effects of ART - Calendar by

Hidden deep in the dark clouds of grief is a colorful rainbow for each of us… I believe ART is a beautiful and honest expression of LIFE.

When I lost my only child to violence in 2009 (an innocent victim of a senseless crime), everyone told me to “celebrate LIFE” … to focus on my son’s life (albeit it a very short one) instead of his death. Not only did I not know how to do that, I also didn’t know where to start. And then there was ART!

Through the GRACE of GOD, ART became the vehicle for tapping into my inner creativity and letting LIFE shine amidst a very present and troubling time. ART helped unleash the creativity within to celebrate LIFE without… delving into artistic activities also aided in the emotional healing needed to cope with such overwhelming grief as mine.
If I can do it, so can you!

Enjoy!

Note: I will customize a calendar with images of your choice – just Bubblemail me your request.

I am a mixed-media artist who is equally at home with a wide range of techniques, including printing with commercially available and self-designed stamps, and a multitude of materials, including paint, ink, canvas, clay, paper, fabric, beads, wire, and wood. I’m also a poet, often working intuitively by weaving wisdom and experience into many of my art projects.

Yes, Art can make miracles in our life!
I have often thought and said that I am alive thanks to art!

I am very sorry for your loss. No pain can be compared to the pain of losing a child.I’m with you!
  • Thank you Madalena, my new found friend! I appreciate your art as much as your comments on mine. Sincerely!

WOW Angela, this is packed with great work and love the suggestions each month!

Reading your story I am touched and so appreciative of how art heals. You knew what you had to do and none can take the place of our own ‘knowing’ what we ourselves and the connection we have to Wisdom to do what we need to do along the way of what feels painful. You don’t need to hear anything from anyone except I am sure that you are loved by them.
Wonderful work and boy have you moved mountain in 9 months!!

  • Dear Linaji, your comments touch me deeply! I thank you… for always reaching over to give me encouragement… for always helping me find my way by sharing your love and wisdom. YOU are an amazing young woman and I’m so grateful to have met you here on The Bubble. Hugs, girlfriend! :)
