Donna R. Carter is a native of Wisconsin, U.S., born in the city of Waukesha. She left the U.S. at age two, and grew up in the stunningly beautiful country of Ecuador, South America, until the age of seventeen. Her soul is held captive there, and she returns as often as possible to capture the beauty of her heart home in pictures, so that others can at least visually appreciate all that Ecuador has to offer.
Presently living once again in the Midwest U.S., she still takes her camera with her everywhere she goes. It is not always the SLR (Canon EOS 450D / Digital Rebel XSi) which can be cumbersome. Sometimes it is the trusty little point-and-shoot (Canon SD800-IS) she can slip out of her purse at a moment’s notice to capture the instant.
Donna is a published writer, photographer, and stay-at-home mom. Her photography includes flowers, travel, cities, farms, landscapes, people, animals, insects … whatever captures her fancy.
Come, have a look at the world through Donna’s eyes.

It had been a long, dry spell, but it was cold and the thought of the warmth of a fire was so inviting. The land was desert-arid; the old barn stood near the rickety house in the pale cold moonlight. …

That was the Spring. / Blue sky, / green grass, / sunshine to warm us. / We were healthy and vigorous.
