This little creature was perched in a nearby tree during a small rain-shower. S/He is about the size of a Sparrow or a Finch, and could very well be a variety of either for all I know. I just love the pretty little thing’s wings . . .
Species is unknown. ALL educated help is appreciated!
It has been HOT in Southern California recently, but the thunderheads built up over the desert to the north and spilled over the range to drop a little cooling rain above the 5,000 ft. level of Mt. Baldy. This shot was at approximately 7,000 ft. It wasnearly 30 degrees cooler than “civilization” below, where they were broiling in 106 degree heat.
