BEST VIEWED LARGER

In the garage at my friend’s house, we discovered this little lady. AFTER my friend practically drowned the creature in bug-spray, I grabbed the camera and shot her.

That was several days ago. According to her, it’s still there, dead as a door-nail, but she refuses to even sweep it away! LOL!!

I do NOT like venomous spiders, and will kill them mercilessly. OTHER spiders, while creepy, are allowed to live.

Wonderful shot…a little info for you though…although these females may be deadly to infants or the infirm for the most part you will get localized swelling and pain. People rarely die from a black widow’s bite. Life-threatening reactions are generally seen only in small children and the elderly. In severe cases, nausea, vomiting, fainting, dizziness, chest pain, and respiratory difficulties may follow the pain. http://www.emedicinehealth.com/black_widow_spid...

Great work Ron. Not too sure I would have gotten that close even if it was dead.

  • Thanks, Brian!
