Storm of Sorrows, Winds of Change

In my makeshift shelter of denial,
I fear,
That the Storm of Sorrows
And the Winds of Change
Have found me here.
They batter the walls
I held up with glue,
The remnants of the memories
I had with you.
So that now I stand,
Broken and bare,
Praying that The Lord
Will bring me near.

Storm of Sorrows, Winds of Change by

So.. recently broke up with someone who was very special to me. I wrote this a week or so ago when I was in a different state of mind but with that being said, I’m still not entirely over it. I’ve always found that break ups are one of the hardest things to deal with. I’m sure we’ve all been there. We develop such an intimate, meaningful, trusting and passionate connection to someone we love and we make ourselves completely vulnerable to them, so to have it all come to an end is a tad overwhelming to say the least. Anyways, I’m rambling and this was written when I incredibly distraught regarding the whole situation but hey, we live, we laugh, we love, we learn. And God is there to piece us back together when we shatter on the floor. God bless you all.

Hang in there. If this is not the right person for you than God has the right person for you. Being vulnerable is part of sharing love. So pray , give to God what your needs are, as you walk with Him ,he will give you the desires of your heart. Hugs…♥

  • Thank you very much Anne. I’ve given all my thoughts, fears, hopes, ambitions and everything else to The Lord. I thank Him for the experience and I plan to focus on building up my relationship with The Lord and looking towards the future glory that is yet to be revealed. Thanks again for the encouraging words. May God bless you and watch over you in all that you do. =)
