Came across gravestone at a beautiful Moravian (or lutheran?) mission station in Africa 25 yrs ago. Something like this , in (my very imperfect) Dutch: Wie met tranen saai sal met jubillen maai – “Who sows in tears shall reap in joy”. Not my philosophy but very moving…
