This was taken in the Antelope slot canyon, just south of Page, Arizona, in May. This is a narrow canyon—walls only 4 to 10 feet apart and open to the sky. The opening was a ‘hole’ in the hard ground and rain water runoff has entered this hole and carved these shapes, over millions of years, into the red sandstone. This is the lower canyon—the tour operators in Page will want to take you to the upper and I advise you avoid that one in favor of the lower, which is just south of Page and you can get there in your own car with little difficulty. See web sites on the Antelope Slot Canyon, Arizona.
Please note that athe photo is presented wrong, by the red bubble folks…..it shouild be vertical instead of horizontal. i sent it right, but it was switched. I wrote the folks there and have not had a response. In any case, I appreciate your kind comments, in spiste of the photo being not at all like the real shot. I will try again with a different view. Just remember to see the lower, not the upper, antelope canyon.
This place is one that I highly recommend to any photographer……..the location takes hours and hours to get to…take a tour from Flagstaff and let some one else drive…..it is a great place, and bring your tripod Thanks for the latest comments……..al

What an array of colors on sliced sections of sharply etched rock! Nice work! I always wanted to go to Antelope Canyon.
Back again. I appreciate telling us how to get to the lower end by car.
