I am an advanced amateur photographer, shooting
digital format for the past eight years. Also did
slide and bw work in traditional formats and have
had a wet darkroom in all of our residences for more
than 40 years. I learned the basics of composition
and contrast the old and hard way, in the darkroom,.
However, I am no longer surprised that
I continue to learn a lot from judges and peers after
competition in the two camera clubs I participate in. And camera clubs are great ways to get ideas, as well as to gain
support from fellow members during dry spells of camera excellence. I am also publisher of our privately supported
state magazine, which features a good deal of excellent
photography from our subscribers.
