Profile of a flower raider
The closer we get to insect life.. the more alien their world becomes!
This bee/ fly landed on my windowsill and just started licking the pollen off itself. It didn’t stay long, so this was the best shot I got (best of four shots). The colour of the fly and pattern of the eyes amazes me. Also, if you notice, it also has it’s tongue out.
All my work has been visually inspected for quality assurance. Your happiness with your new picture is very important to me, enjoy!

Sorry I forgot to read your comments first, it made me think what a stunning shot, so clear so detailed, so much beauty hidden from normal vision, aren’t the mechanics of flyies and bees amazing.

A fascinating & beautiful image, the eyes are especially glorious. The camera allows us to SEE when we LOOK and if we chose to, we can SEE the beauty of the tiny and often reviled creatures so essential to our own world.

This is one brilliant close-up really like the clarity of the image seeing the markings in the bees eyes and the yellow pollen on his body, it is like you have given him a unique personality…brilliant work:=]
